IPS or PLS monitor for gaming? By the way, i dont play competitive games, i'm casual gamer who plays games for the sense of exploration and wonder, to enjoy fictional worlds with maxed out settings. I already have 2 in mind, i just need to know which is better? Monitor will be facing mostly towards windows behind me right now.

1. http://www.acer.fi/ac/fi/FI/content/model/UM.VG7EE.A01 <-- (IPS matte screen)
2. https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/samsung-s24d390hl/ <-- (PLS semi glossy screen

My rig:
Amd FX-8350 (Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO)
M5A97 EVO R2.0 motherboard
8GB Ram
MSI GTX 560 Ti (im going to buy new gpu r9 380x/390x when it comes out soon hopefully)
SSD 128gb Crucial

Solution

Get matte screen. Glossy monitors will reflect the light and make your monitor hard to view due to the sunlight.

GO MATTE or the glare will make you nuts, save your eyes and your sanity IMO.
Mine Asus MX239H is semi glossy and even with widows off to the side it is annoying. Also owned a glossy Imac 27".

Plus Acer has really nice color and the filter on the screens are pretty clear so colors really pop. We just bought my stepson 1 and it has nicer colors than my Asus.
