IPTV on Nvidea Sheild

Hi Guys,

Hope this is the correct thread...

I am wanting to buy an Nvidea Sheild to run as a basic Plex server. I have also come across IPTV packages and was wondering whether i could run this on my Shield or will I need to buy another box?

Also, what would the EPG look like on the shield for IPTV? Would I need to buy a IPTV package that comes with an EPG or will the NVIDEA sheild have its own EPG or is this something which is downloaded separate?

Certainly can be done - not natively on the Shield, but via third party apps.
I've used XCIPTV and IPTV Smarters Pro for IPTV service.
Plug in the M3U directory, and success.

As for EPG, I believe you'd have to subscribe to an IPTV service than includes EPG, or provide your own subscription.

Would you say this would be a better or worse experience than a regular IP box e.g. zgemmah9s?

Im in two minds whether i shpuld buy both or buying a zgemma box is a waste when i own a sheild. thoughts?

The Shield is a much, much stronger device. I see no reason to buy anything else if you already own one.
