Ipvanish blocking Amazon Video

Hi. I just recently installed Ipvanish on my new 2nd generation fire stick. Well when it's connected it will not play Amazon Videos. Comes up with this Service Area Restriction message error code: INVALID_GEO_IP. The funny thing is the vpn is connected to a server in the U.S. I am only able to play the Amazon video after I disconnect the vpn. That sucks cause I would like to leave it connected 24/7. What should I do?

If it's working without the VPN, why bother?

A (very rough) guess on my part though; accessing Amazon without the VPN, then immediately switching to route via another location probably creates some sort of 'flag' somewhere along the line..... ie you couldn't physically move your fire stick from Location #1 (local) to Location #2 (VPN in the US) in the space of time between connections.

It could be amazon is blacklisting some VPN services for video streaming to prevent people from getting around regional blocks.

Even if you connect from within US, other overseas connect to the same VPN server, and Amazon (as well as host of other VOD providers) block some of well-known VPN providers, in order to maintain geographic restrictions.
