Irene killed my Monitor

I dont know how but after Hurricane Irene my monitor is dead. No biggie it was a gateway 22 about 5 yrs old. Strictly a gaming computer fps WOW etc

So, Im looking for a 24 or 25. I think 27 is too big for my desk as I sit right in front of it. Ive seen some but they all have 8ms response time, Im a little worried about that. id like to keep it under 600 bucks or so.

I want a 1920 by 1200 I hear 16/10 is best for gaming. It has to have a height adjustment as I like to keep my monitor low on my desk.
Everyone keeps talking about side viewing, I sit right in front of it so no concerns there.

I have a gtx470 if that matters.

again it has to have a height adjustment. strictly for gaming mostly wow and fps.

Im wondering if 8ms is too slow of a response time for fps game.
Ive been looking at the dell u2410 and hp has a similiar model. anyone have any recomendations? I dont want a glosst screen either.
