Irrational thought - can't sleep without answer!

The last few nights I've been thing about one irrational question - and I'm not sleeping well until I know the answer.

I booted my pc up the other day without a keyboard and was for a few seconds welcomed with an american megatrends screen; No input device connected - and a thought came to mind; Does it output a screen like this if there's no display connected? Is my pc programmed to say anything if I boot it up without display? What happens behind the black screen???

No, I dont believe so.
Your keyboard is an input device, your monitor is not. Chances are you know your display is not connected if its not. Keyboard maybe not.
The video output just displays what its supposed to, regardless of you viewing it.
