Hi,

I am looking for some help with an IRST error.

I was running Windows 8.1 Pro with a 250 GB Samsung HDD, 2 x 1 TB Samsung HDDs in RAID1 mirror using software (windows). All was good.

I installed windows 10 to try it out but then decided to drop back to Windows 8.1 and did a clean install. I setup my software RAID1 on the 2 Seagate drives again, but for some unknown reason they kept synching all the time and slowing the PC down. So I did a hardware RAID1 in the motherboard BIOS and that alleviated that constant synching issue.

Now IRST constantly gives me an error. On the right of the screen of IRST it shows my SSD, 500 GB HDD and the CD/DVD drive. It does not show the 2 Seagate HDDs in RAID1.

I ran crystal disk. Things look OK. It shows all the drives, but it does not show the drive letter for the RAID1 array which on my computer is drive K:

Does anybody know what is going on here? Is there an error at all?
My motherboard is an ASUS Z-87 Pro and my processor is an i7-4790K.

Should be a way to get the Intel Error message on there. One of the drives could still be failing.

Also because they are in a RAID, and honestly you are kinda luckly that you are using Intel RAID because crystal disk can see though the RAID where as most RAID cards it can not see the drives at all, it will not show a Drive letter for that drive since those drives do NOT have a drive letter. The LOGICAL Drive of the Raid have the drive letter which crystal disk does not see.

I can't find a way to get rid of the error message. I wish I could. If I had a failing drive, I suspect something would tell me.
