Is 1.4v 4.7Ghz safe on my 6600k?

I am trying to overclock my 6600k and so far I have got 1.375v at 4.6Ghz stable running on AIDA64. Should I try to push it to 1.4v at 4.7Ghz?

It's a bit high, I've got mine running at 1.330v with LLC Level 1 (the flattest for my board)

Ah ok. I have played around a little and finally got stable at 1.375 volts at 4.6 on air.

Not noticeably, no. In theory it shortens CPU lifespan but in practice you always upgrade long before anything actually happens to it. ~1.4V for a Skylake chip at 4.7GHz is pretty normal so go ahead and boost it (as long as temps are looking good).

Hmm... 4.7 at 1.4v does not seem to be stable. Will anything between 1.4 and 1.5 work?

You could go a bit over 1.4V but you might encounter heat limitations at that point. If getting to 4.7GHz requires more than a 25mV boost over 4.6GHz 1.375V then I don't think it's worth it.

If your worried about lifespan or heat I wouldn't bother, its just for bragging rights. Going from 4.6 to 4.7 is a 2% gain, you won't actually notice it.

Yeah I could only get it stable at like 1.47 volts at like 50c on idle so ill stay away from that.
