[SOLVED] Is 1000w PSU too much or can be bought since it is future proof?

Hi,

I Currently have Corsair VS550 PSU. I know it's not the best one. I have got Gigabyte Aorus RX580 8Gb GPU, AMD FX-6300, 2 HDDs, 1 DVD drive and some fans and external CPU cooler. I will soon be upgrading few things. I am getting Antec HCG 1000w PSU for only 20 USD more than what a good 850w PSUs are available for. Should I go with 1000w? Is it overkill?

1000w is way overkill and the system is outdated.
