I am considering buying a 32" HDTV for my PC monitor, which I will also use to game on consoles and watch TV. The TV is the Samsung UE32F5000 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-UE32F5000-32-inch-Widescreen-1080p/dp/B00BP58C1S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399773769&sr=8-1&keywords=samsung+UE32f5000)

In the specifications it is listed as having 100hz CMR. Is is actually 100hz or is it just inerpolated frames? Also, considering UK tv is broadcast at 50hz will it be likely the tv is natively 50hz and not 60hz (at the least)?

The 100Hz is the refresh rate. Most pc monitors have a 60Hz refresh rate. But TVs have terrible Response times. But they measure them differently to pc monitors. If a TV response time is given as 8ms, it works out actually at about 80ms when compared to a pc monitor. That's why its a dumb idea to use a TV - especially when you are picky about game lags etc.

This TV has a PC setting so it is intended to be used as a PC monitor too. Also, when you reference response times in terms of gaming what you mean is input lag. This tv has an input lag time of 28ms which is good even among monitors (and is one of the reasons I am choosing it).

Yup don't confuse response times with input lag. Response times is typically measured in gtg, how long it takes for pixels to change from gray to white to gray. Although it's unreliable as it's typically the best result rather than average or normal results. Anyways...reading a review about the monitor, it is 50hz native.

So it wouldn't be able to display 60fps properly? Also, could you post a link for the review please? Thanks.
