Hi Everyone,

Nowadays I have a monitor 1080p 27" curved display 144hz. I want to upgrade but I'm not sure. Should I buy to monitor 2k 144hz or 4k 60hz? I'm thinking in 27" 1440p 144hz or 32" 4k 60hz.

I work as programmer and sometimes I play casual games (red dead redemption 2, bfv, fifa, etc).

My setup is:

Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB de ram, rtx 2060 6GB. I'm waiting for nvidia's next gen and I will upgrade my gpu.

Regards.

I would say it had a lot to do with your eyesight and distance from the monitor.

In my own case, 4K makes text so small that I end up increasing scale, which in essence is reducing resolution. I found the sweet spot on my desk PC is 2K 144. I prefer 1080/120 in the HTPC while gaming but will commonly turn it to 4K/60 for media consumption.

I would recommend a 32" 4k 60hz as that would squeeze the max performance out of your GPU. But I don't highly recommend that one as you dont need that much of resolution. Also as @punkncat said, the text will be smaller. In that case I recommend the other one.
Although you can suit yourself with whatever you need for your case ( comparing budget ect. )

Hope this helps!!?

I think same, text and icons will small, I'm sitting down at 60cm from monitor aprox, I need sharpiness because my sight isn't good.

Thanks
