I have a LG 24MP55 monitor and it has only one HDMI input. I have PC and PS4 and i want to be able to play both on one monitor but I can't get 1080p to work with VGA cable. My gpu: XFX R9 270x. Anybody knows how can I do it of is it even possible to get 1080p via VGA cable?
PS
Maximal resolution i can get with VGA is 1600x1200.

I own an HP LA2306x acting as a secondary monitor and it's driven by a VGA cable which is running at 1080x1920(yes it's actually 1920x1080p only vertically rotated). So to answer your question, you should be able to get VGA output provided you've connected the cable off a DVI adapter connected to the port marked in black

Speaking of which, what cable and adapter are you using? Might want to include the exact model(or link thereof) of your GPU.

So I make it work, I only needed to make a custom resolution and then set it on while plugged in via VGA, but the quality is not the same as HDMI. It's like everything is double and one of these is little to the right and almost invisible.
I don't really know the brand of my cable or adapter and that's my gpu: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150692&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-Skimlinks-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3987228&SID=1402X558040Xa3c6a6541d54d5350ef58e06971e2a37

Here you have 2 photos I've taken and you can see the difference between "Overwatch" text and Metro icon and text
