Hey, didn't know where else to turn to get a legitimate answer. Been offered to buy a friends pc for 1180 euro / 1250 USD and wanted to know if it's a good deal or not. He's had it for like 9 months or so. He doesn't know what cooling system it is or any specifics of the PSU but the specs I do know are below.

Here are the specs:
Motherboard: Asrock Taichi Z790
CPU: Intel 13600K
PSU 1000W
GPU: RTX3080
XPX Gammix 1tb M2
32GB ram 4800 MHz

Thankful for any input!

Hey there,

IMO, yes it's worth it. Some decent parts, and great gaming PC.

Which exact PSU is it? This would be important. AS is the cooler. You need to find that out before purchase.
Yeah, he doesn't know what PSU it is and it's covered up in the case or something and he can't really be fussed opening it up to look. As for the cooling I'm not really too fussed as I've got a Noctua NH-D15 in case there's an issue. Probably gonna go through with the deal, thanks for your input.

Hmmm, the PSU is the heart of this system. Your friend could simply take the cover off and look at the sticker and send you a photo. It's really not that hard or time consuming!
NH-D15 is a strong air cooler.

THe PSU at 1000w may be just fine. As long as it's a good brand and with a decent 7-10 yr warraty.

Seems a fair deal, though be prepared for possibly spending another 130 euros or so on a good PSU if the current one isn't one. Someone who can't be fussed to actually look at the inside of the PC they're selling is unlikely to be someone who was also particularly fussed about making sure they had a good quality PSU in there.
