Is 1440p worth for GTX 1070 with limited budget?

Hello, I'm building new PC aroung GTX 1070 GPU and now I'd like to find out what is the best monitor to go with. My budget is around 300€ and the best 1440p monitor at this price is probably 27" BenQ GW2765HE. Is it worth to buy something like this for 1440p gaming or should i search for something in 1080p category with higher Hz and lower price than 300€? Thanks for all the help.

If you are going for 1070 Then i think you should get the 1440P monitorif you can becouse if you get the 1080 you cant change it that sooner or later you gonna regret that you should have bought the 1440p while you can.so get the better one now and enjoy it for few years

I have a GTX 1070 and I bought a 1080p 144Hz monitor. I wish I would have bought a 1440p instead, even if it were 60Hz. But I've never used 1440p so I can't know for sure. :/

Isn't 1070 gonna fall behind in next years, like it will struggle on 1440p with more demanding games in the future.

Yeah I believe RX Vega will do better than GTX 1070 especially at 1440p; but the 1070 still does well at 1440p.

I believe that I personally won't be completely satisfied until I have either G-Sync with Nvidia or FreeSync with AMD, preferably 1440p since 4K is still too expensive both display and GPU wise. My 1080p 144Hz has FreeSync, but RX Vega is a ghost.
