Is 144hz monitor worth it?

Hey guys
I will get a new pc which will have the following specs
i5-8400
1070 8gb
16 gb 2400mhz ram (ddr4)

My question is: Is it worth getting a 144hz monitor (Asus VG248QE)? Or is the a 60 hz monitor fine (Asus VS247HR)?

Battlefield 1, Assassin's creed series, CS:GO, PUBG, Rainbow six siege... Such games. And i also want to play future games on good fps

worth it.

although i went from a crappy HP LCD to the Asus VG248QE, it requires some tinkering and the colors get a bit bleaker in 144hz but wouldnt change it.

Yes especially if you continue to play twitch shooters like you do. You will never go back once you make the switch.
