I just found my dream CRT monitor for practically nothing,
Its so cheap that im buying it regardless of what this thread tells me but Im curious If it would be practical as a day-to-day monitor.
For emulation purposes its perfect but what about modern games?? Do most still support the 4:3 resolutions (e.g. 1920 x 1440 ,1600 x 1200, 1280 x 1024
1024 x 768 )?
and for games that do support it is the FOV accomodated for with a higher vertical view or is it just a cropped widescreen?
and most (all) modern video is widescreen so I'm assuming it'll be useless for any watching purposes unless I like squashed images?
finally Im currently using a DVI to VGA converter and its seem to be a common config (since the adapter was including with my 750Ti) but are DVI still used in modern(last and next gen Nvidia cards) GPU?
I'd appreciate the help and If you can answer just one of these question you should leave a post :)

Probably some people might called them such. But game develop on PC sometimes still support such resolution. Since you already have the monitors you can test it yourself.

And yes DVI still supported in current gen of gpu. Personally i still prefer using DVI over HDMI. For the next gen gpu i magine DVI will still be used.
