I was wondering if I should have 1 fast ssd for games and stuff, and 1 big cheap one to store videos and etc.? Would that work and would it be the most cost effective?

You can have a decently fast SSD for your OS, app's and launchers... since you won't realize their speeds in real time. You can get a faster SSD for your games library to help with loading times. What is the make and model of your motherboard?

Would that work and would it be the most cost effective?
Different regions will have their SSD's priced differently, where are you located and what sort of drives/brands do you access to?

i would recommend at least 4 drives;
1x for OS & applications,
1x for games,
1x for easy access storage(video, audio, projects, installation/driver packages, etc),
1x for backup purposes.

ideally a 5th for alternative backup.

speeds & size would vary depending on necessity.
games drive should be as fast as possible while others the speed doesn't matter much though the faster the better.

I have a MSI B650 Gaming plus Wifi motherboard, and i live in Denmark. The problem is that it only has 2 slots for storage

If I only have 2 ssd slots, should i then buy 1 for games and 1 for backup?

For videos (if that's just for storing them and not for video editing) - get a mechanical drive.
There's no point in storing your video archive on SSD.
High capacity mechanical drive is perfectly fine for those purposes.

The speed diferences between SSDs are too insignificant.

The major benefit of not using a single drive is that you can do a clean OS install without losing your videos or Steam games, etc. You will need to reinstall a bunch of apps but they don't take up hundreds of gigabytes.

A 500Gb or 1Tb OS NVMe drive + 2Tb or however large SSD you want, would be a good idea. But not for performance, just the convenience.

For videos, a mechanical hard drive is appropriate.
True. I use a 1Tb NVMe and a 4Tb WD Blue 5400rpm. The apps and games installed on the HDD still benefit from the NVMe speed because of caching. And for videos or photos it simply doesn't matter where they are.

Wish HDDs were cheaper in Europe, i'd buy more.
