Is 250 cd/m2 really too dark for gaming?

250cd/m² is pretty bright, actually. You'll probably find that it's set to somewhat lower than that by default. IIRC mine (max 300) is calibrated to far less, but I'd have to dig out a colorimeter to get the exact value. Something like ~170 by memory, but I could be off hugely. It's set to 63/100, but I have no idea how linear it is.

Looks good, but go check out a review. Don't see where it says 75Hz, though.

You're likely to be gaming in a relatively dark room, which will make the monitor appear brighter. I wouldn't worry about brightness.

It doesn't state the 75hz part on LG's website but other sites report the 75Hz refresh rate. The reviews are sometimes mixed but usually good, the monitor Itself is one of the best looking ones I've seen in a while. The edges except for the lower edge are really really thin which creates a fantastic display effect.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like 250 cd/m2 will do the job for me.
