300W is not enough. 350W is the bare minimum, but you should always slightly supplement your system with power. I'd recommend a 450W-500W PSU. You can get a good 450W-500W PSU for around $40-$50.

well....ill not do crazy overclocking so will it work?

Yea, I probably wouldn't risk it with an old power hungry quad core like that, 380 watts is recommended. What is the model of the system you're using? I'm wondering if the card can even be upgraded.

Doesn't matter. Going with less than the minimum recommended wattage equals high risk of bricking your card or even your entire system. 350W is bare minimum required for full functionality under stock speeds/load, but because PSU components degrade in efficiency over time, having headroom helps not only with stability but also preservation. Don't skimp on the PSU, it can easily be the biggest mistake you'll make in PC ownership.

Download the free version of this program: https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download

Run it, screencap the "Summary" page, and provide us with that screencap. It should show your OS, CPU, Motherboard, GPU/Display, Storage, and Audio devices/drivers. This'll provide us with the info we need in order to tell you if you need to upgrade anything else before upgrading your GPU. A PC is like a table, if one leg isn't intact the whole thing fails.

You currently have a TFX PSU, so I'm not sure a full size graphics card would work in a case that uses a TFX PSU. It also limits your choices in power supplies.

Dont worry abot that, i have modified the case so i can put the TFX PSU in it.
