Hey guys i want to buy a gtx 1060 6gb but cant afford it so can u tell me if the 3gb model is sufficent to run games at 60 fps. Resolution doesnt matter.

Solution
^ high and ultra is noticeable with better textures and shadows.

To answer the question : for AAA titles, nope 3gb vram ain't enough for ultra settings.
Depends on the game. 3 GB isn't quite sufficient for certain titles, and certainly will be challenged in the future. If I were you, I'd save up a bit more and go for the 6 GB variant. It not only has more VRAM, but better processing capacities independent of said VRAM.

I think people think too much about this kind of future proof problem.
Ok, so you can play Todays game @60fps with Ultra on....
Next year you can play the latest game @60fps with High Settings.... you wouldn't notice much difference...
I am just trying to point out, that no matter what game comes out, just playing with some settings will keep everything smooth and a lot of games are not much difference between high, v high, ultra.
