Question is 4 gb of ram enough?

hey my friend just purchased a pc with 4 gb of ram (2666)
he has a ryzen 2600
gtx 1660 ti
and his motherboard is an asus 320mk
he told me his gpu doesn't go past 50% in BFV
are the 4 gb of ram the issue?

In this day and age you should be having 8GB as a standard on any system, especially for a system that games. Might also want to ask your friend to take a note of what his ram and CPU consumption's are...?

Like Lutfij said "8GB as a standard" is for YouTube and browsing, 16GB minimum for games plus a good amount of V-ram on the Video card (8GB)

You can open the performance tab in Task Manager to see what the RAM usage is. I would hazard a guess that it is pretty high when gaming with only 4 GB.
