Is 4 GM RAM enough with SSD?

Hi, Appreciate helping me, thanks!

I am planning to replace my traditional hard disc with 120 gb SSD in my laptop. Laptop is Acer Aspire ES1 572 33M8, with Windows 10 & i3 CPU, Manufacture date - May 2017

My total storage is never more than around 40 GB, I never download & store any games, movies, or anything big, so I am assuming 120 GB is enough for my use.

My question is, is 4 GB RAM enough with 120 GB SSD? I already have now 4 GB RAM (DDR4) in my laptop, I read somewhere if we put SSD then we also have to put more RAM, is that correct?

All I do is simple stuff, such as reading email, reading news, opening 4 to 5 chrome browser pages, and 2 to 3 Microsoft word pages. I do not plan to do any RAM intensive tasks in the foreseeable future.

Once again my question is - Is 4 GB RAM enough for the above daily activities - after I replace my traditional hard disc to SSD?

Thank you guys so much!

Solution
the size of your SDRAM (physical computer memory) is irrelevant of the size of your Hard drive (SSD OR HDD)
I have a laptop with 4GB or ram and a 2TB HDD.

the SDRAM affects speed and functionality of the activities your laptop can handle at one time.
if it not gaming then your fine.
if you feel your system could be faster then look if you can get your SDRAM in your computer to 8GB perhaps (all depends on the Make/model of your laptop of course)

No, it isn't required as there is no relation between them. Go and get the SSD as it makes a big improvement in system responsiveness.
Still, I would recommend upgrading ram when you need to multitask, as 4GB is the minimum for today's standard.
