I have just built my new PC and it has been up and running for about 2 weeks now and i have been monitoring the Temperatures. I've red a lot of forums saying that a CPU should be running at 30. When it is on full load i have seen it go up to 50-55 and i wanna know are these dangerous numbers. I'm using a cooler master 212 EVO on my Intel I7-4790k and I got it because I heard it was one of the best. Should I pick up a new one such as a liquid cooler or some other ones. Thanks :)

Idle temperature isn't as critical as load temperature. 50-55c for an i7 under moderate load is actually pretty good. Intel maxes at 95c with recommended to keep it below 80c under full load. You're fine.

Idle temperatures are meaningless since the temperature sensing circuits in CPUs are designed for minimal footprint instead of accuracy and tend to be grossly inaccurate below 50C: there are many people who report CPU temperatures lower than their room temperature at idle and this is physically impossible without using some form of below-ambient cooling.

55C under load fairly good. My i5-3470 gets to 65C under load but that is with 30C room temperature and the stock Intel HSF. At idle, it drops to 40C.
