You can put all your components in here and it will tell you how much wattage you need

Also this is a good thread to explain the differece in quality between the psu's http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html
You can disable sleep states in motherboard.
Difference between bronze and gold efficiency is 5% in ideal condition. Will be less in non ideal situation. With a 450w power supply you can even run a 1070 these days.
That´s my definition where nothing could go wrong and will be future proof for upgrading to for example a RX480
I´m aware the sleep states can be switched off, if a future motherboard provides this option in the future
and you will have to do that manually, without knowing, someone could be frustrated
also energy saving is always a good thing 😀
(less heat)
There are Gold rated PSU's that use poor quality components or build quality, they just use an efficient design. That rating is not a good way of judging a PSU.
That's the 5% difference between bronze 85% and gold 90% efficiency.
Surely that's not how it works lol? It is based on how efficiently the power from the wall is used. It does not mean you're getting 85% amount of power from a 500 watts power supply for example.
More watts from the wall going into the power supply compared to what the power supply really needs = watts lost. For example your wall inputs 400 watts into the power supply but only 250 watts is used. That's where the effiency is determined. Or have I been wrong all my life?
