Is 400w psu enough for fx 8320 and radeon hd 7850?

sorry its an ATX-400PA

if i could afford it i would grab a 550w and be done with it lol the problem is im broke and i have this power supply from an old build

It'll just about cope.
Problem is it doesn't have a 6 pin GPU connector & the 7850 needs one.
You're going to have to use a molex adapter which I wouldn't normally recommend.

I've run a 7850 on a 300w dell PSU in the past in all fairness though , its a 110w max GPU , hardly a power hog.

it totally has a 6 pin connector lol.
also i am going to be running things like fallout 4 and dark souls 3 will that effect your answer at all?

yes it does have a 348w 12v rail

oops one last thing... the psu only has a 4 pin connector where the mobo has an 8 that shouldnt be a problem though right?

A single 4 pin on a board running a 125w CPU is going to be a problem.
It may work, it may not, you may get bsod's under heavy load.
I'd argue the fsp's are fairly well made psu's , but the split 4+4 pins are there for a reason & that reason is to split the load on the cables.

The choice is your here , you're drawing 220-230w through just the 4 pin atx & 3 wires on the main 24pin.
That's a faily hefty amount if the cabling is low gauge.
