So I just installed my new GPU a MSI radon r9 270 and I ran BF3 as a test and the performance was grate! but I left the side panel open just for the test and after playing for about 20 minutes I put my hand next to it and I fell it is a little warm so I go into my after burner and it said the max was 42 degrees Celsius GPU temp, So is that to hot? is it OK to get that warm?

WOW! That cold!
Seriously, my liquid cooled R9 290 won't run that cool, mate.
If anything I'd be concerned that the card isn't working hard enough, 42C on a R9 270 really is extremely cold and suggests it's not working at full capacity.
well lets put it like this my gpu asus strix 980ti rungs at 75-82c under load and it idles around 30-40 c. i used to have 970 and it ran at 71c max so yes 42c is cool honstly hot is like 85c+ my pc makes my whole room hotter because of all the heat it has
