Is 450W PSU ok for GTX 970 ASUS STRIX

Officially yes, but that's assuming it's a GOOD 450w psu.

I hope you're getting that 970 for way way way cheaper than that. I don't think I would pay more than about $225 for a 970 now.

That is not a very reliable psu so I would recommend upgrading it sooner than later.

it can only deliver 400W on the 12v rail and is overall poor quality unfortunately.
without overclocking it will be alright in terms of watts, but you might wanna replace that PSU in the near future

And I dont think I can get the 1060 as I think there will be a bottleneck because my CPU is i5-4460S (2.9 GHz)

Don't pay MORE for a 970. I'd still rather have a 1060. Your i5 isn't weak.
