So I am building my first gaming PC and I want to know if 4GB ram is good enough. I am getting 1600MHZ 4GB ram. And I am just wondering if 4gb is good for gaming.. Thanks! (I will upgrade in the future when I can)
You can get by with 4GB, but I would recommend getting 8GB. Newer games are requiring at least 4GB, sometiems 6GB which means to get the best performance you'll need some overhead.
For high end games on ultra, 4 GB might be short. For those same games on low/medium settings it should be fine. For everything under, it will be fine.

Is 4GB enough? Yes. Might you benefit from more? Also yes. If you want to run other applications while playing (e.g. streaming your game, or streaming music while you play, maybe a VOIP application like Teamspeak, browser to maps or other game reference), you'll see the benefit of more sooner rather than later. But, if 4GB is all you can get right now, you'll be able to play.

So you're saying i need to get 6gb or 8?
If 4GB is all you can afford right now, you can run ok with that, just make sure you aren't running much else when playing a demanding game, but if you can afford to get 8GB, that would be my recommendation 🙂
