Is 50°c/120°F good idle temps?

Im running a i5 4690 cpu and a R9 390 8GB GPU
Normal web browsing and having just one application downloading, is this considered normal temps?
Im new and I think that 50°c can be high for a gaming comp that is doing barely anything for the moment?

EDIT, Just wanted to add that my fans are running at 50%, HOWEVER I think that the program for it isnt working or if its just eye candy
for example when i put my R9 GPU to silent mode, the fans are still running, even though it mentions that its not suppose to,
So i dunno if i have to download drivers or somehthing, However I can only tweak the light on/off on the GPU which seems to work
But when i put for example my fans at 100% through the command center, they dont seem to change, even when i click apply/save

Unless your room is abnormally warm, I would say 50 C is kind of high, for am idle temp.

What cooler are you running?

I have a 4690k not overclocked and my idle temps are like 35c so i dont think its normal but 50c is not too bad

If you're citing CPU temp that's way too hot for an idle temp, 32c would be normal. You need to remount your CPU cooler with good thermal compound.

room temp is about 23°C
yeah must be thermal compound or bad fans situated

That's high then. My room is generally 22 C and my 4690k idles at 31.

As for command cennter , when I change fan speeds they react within a second or so. Are you using PWM fans hooked to the motherboard?
