is 50 degrees celsius normal for idle temp

my i5 4690k is overlcocked to 4.2 ghz at 1.25 volts. i have a be quiet dark rock 3 cooler and the idle temps are at 50 degrees celsius. when at load it doesnt exceed 80 but the idle is putting me on edge. is 50 degrees celsius normal

Normal, meh a little high, but nothing to be worried about. Often times, your cooler's fans will be at their minimum RPM when the CPU is idle so it might just be that.

As long as it doesn't exceed 80C, you're fine. If you load up a test and it spikes to just above 80C for a second or two and then goes back down, I wouldn't worry about it as long as it doesn't get too out of hand.
