Is 500 watts enough to run the following specs

Hello everyone,

I used one of those PSU calculators and it tells me that 500 watts is enough, although I'd like a 2nd opinion.

These are the specs I am upgrading to:

i7 8700 (non k) or Ryzen 2700x - I'm not sure yet
Sapphire Pulse RX580 8GB
Either a H310M motherboard for the i7 and a B450M Pro M2 for the Ryzen
16GB of DDR4 Ram with overclocking if possible
19 inch 1366x768 Monitor

The PSUs that I am looking to get are the 530 Thermaltake Smart SE or the FSP Raider 550

Thanks in advance for the help!

Both those psus are junk and I'd not put a Rx580 on either. If you insist on those models, at least opt for the above 600w versions instead. 38A/456w on the 12v rail from a 530w unit is not that good and can leave you in trouble in a pc capable of @400w+ when pushed.

How about an EVGA BV 500 watt PSU? Is that a good PSU?

Also junk

The minimum I would do with that system is a Corsair CX550M.

Preferably? Seasonic Focus 550

You have some decent equipment there, don't cheap out on the PSU. If you can afford a $250 GPU you can afford an extra $30 for a good quality PSU.
