Upgrading a friends system and was hoping I could still use the 500W PSU in it from CoolerMaster the build is gonna consist of

Ryzen 5 2600x

Wraith Spire Cooler

XFC RX 590 Fatboy OC

4 x 4GB Ballistix Sport DDR4 2400

MSI B350 PRO-VDH

3 x 120mm fans

1 TB HDD

Solution
What exact model of Coolermaster 500w?
500w is enough, although I would prefer a 550w.

Cooler master makes many models of power supply or varying quality.
500W is way more than enough. You could even run it off of 350. Cpu draws less than 105W at full load, and gpu draws about 175W at full load. Perfierals, ram, motherboard, and fans would be less than 50W. But some 500W units supply much less than 500W, and if its a really terrible qualilty unit, running at 350W out of 400W supplied or something would increase ripple and worsen voltage regulation significantly.

AMD and TomsHardware would disagree with you.

The card can draw 250w continuous with up to 300w spikes. ON THE GPU ALONE!

So no, a 350w would not cut it. And the 500w MASTERWATT would be just enough wattage wise, but it may not last long under the stress of this hardware due to the VERY poor quality.

Yeah it probably wouldnt last too long.
What are some PSUs that you guys recommend ?
CX450 if you just want something cheap, CX550(M) if you want to be able to upgrade to a better card in the future. Make sure they dont have the green labels. The green label cxs are bad.
