I have an old machine, from around 2010.
Thermaltake tower with 500w power supply
MSI B75MA-P45, with i3 3220 with 6 SATA connections, all used.
500GB drive
1TB drive
4 CD/DVD burners (not in high demand, for duplication at a time.)

Going to drop a burner for another internal drive.

Have never had any power issues, other than the computer not waking up from a deep sleep.

Is this enough power?
Will it be enough for a new motherboard, cpu and ram? And probably larger drives. 3TB could be the max for this motherboard.

Thank you

Faulty? Unstable? Noise?
Overall, I've never had any noise issues. It sits in a basement and if it is noisy, I've never thought about it.

It's been running for about 10 years already. Just want to make sure I get things covered properly.

It's one of the worse PSU's you can buy.

You are lucky it didn't burn down your house and or cook your system.

You have been lucky so far because it's a low power system.
