Is 512 too much for ME

People say that WinME will slow down my system if I go from 256 to 512 and I'd have MANY problems! I curently have 448Mb and NO problems! I'm not going for 512 but my friend does with ME, he needs it for Photoshop and stuff like that! He doesn't wonna buy WIn2000!!! HE just needs RAM, so will get errors going from 256 to 512?

More ram is always better. I wouldn't expect any errors.

Manarch, could you tell what your friend tells about why his Photoshop is on WinME, not on Win2K which is more …. much better from all points of view? For Photoshop I mean.
Especially when he needs more RAM?

Microsoft suggests that 512 is the max memory for me.

This parachute is guaranteed for the life of the user...
