Case: Fractal Design Define R4
Motherboard: Asus Z97-P
Processor: Intel Core i7 4790k
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB)
CPU Fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Graphics card: MSI GTX 970
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD + Western Digital Blue 1TB
PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 550 W

I used a website called outervision to calculate my wattage and it says recommended PSU Wattage: 438 W. 550 W should be good? I know its obvious just making sure.

Solution
Yes , that's a perfect fit for your specs and high quality.

Summary

What more can one say about these units that hasn't been said? The score speaks for itself, really. This thing has the best ripple control I've seen, it's efficient, and it's cheap compared to what little competition it actually does have. I seriously cannot think of one thing to complain about on this little guy. Yeah, having three total PCI-E connectors is a little odd, but that's no complaint for a unit this small. If you need to power two video cards, you're usually in need of something a little bigger than 550 watts.

The Good: 😀

excellent voltage...

Solution
I would say yes, except that you may want to overclock, in which case giving yourself some extra headroom might be wise.

Also getting a hgiher wattage PSU gives some space for when it gets a bit older and its efficiency starts to decline

I understand but I don't plan on overclocking. Thanks.

7-8 years! That just proves the whole decling psu is exaggerated?
