Hi guys!
Planing to get myself a gaming rig for the first time, and I am 33years old 😉
The problem is that I already have Cooler Master PSU G550M, and I've been trying to find out if it is enough for configuration I'm planing, also is it posible for it to withstand overclock of CPU and RAM?

Parts are:
Asus z170-a
i5 6600k + C.M. Nepton 120XL
2x8GB DDR4 2666MHz Savage
Asus STRIX GTX750Ti 2GB DDR5 O.C.
Kingston SSD 240GB Savage
Packed nicely, for eyecandy, in C.M. HAF XB EVO

Also if you have any sugestions, I would much appreciate it, because it's my first time making 1k+ rig, wich I'll also use for some 3D modeling...

Thanks guys (and girls maybe?)!

Solution

Easily a really good PSU for this build.

Hello! , what games are you looking to play , if you have budget room id like to suggest at least a nvidia 950/960 more cuda cores for rendering stuff and to play all the latest games decently as well as some early access games what seem to be more popular but less optimized these days and yea i agree with Blackbird on the psu or take a look at some reviewed psus as yours is shown in tier 3 i think you will be ok but decent psu's are rated for 5-10 years and will last that and more ++ with proper circuit protection protecting that 1k+ system and not blowing your other parts with it an extra bit of cash could save you having to replace it for your next build, I AM NOT trying to scare you into spending a fourtune i actually think you might be ok but a little extra cash can potentially save you more in this case , its nice to see you aren't skimping on overclockable gear mobo and cpu and cooler but its wise to do it with your psu also in case you upgrade graphics card it saves you buying a better one in future http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html as some will total 550w where as one you spend a fair amount on will do that just on the 12v rail and be more efficient
