[SOLVED] is 600b 80+ PSU enough for gtx 1080

I recently scored a gtx 1080 for cheap and I am wondering if this PSU is enough to handle a 1080? Also this PSU came in with a with a two 6+2 pin connectr can I combined one of the 6+2 pin connectors to make them 8 and just use 6 for the other one since the 1080 requires 8 pin and a 6 pin?

Make and model of your PSU and it's age? Is the unit made by EVGA? It should be good to go but it's best if you stated the PSU specs. What was the PSU powering prior? Often times bad quality PSU's tend to bundle all the connectors for a build and it gives novices the false idea that the PSU can power anything that's thrown at it. Yes you can make the 6+2 into an 8 and the other one can be as is but the quality of the PSU will dictate if the extra draw of power will cause your house to burn down or if your system's ready for gaming.

its a EVGA 600b1 80+ ive used it for 2 years and im using gtx 1060 gb, i5 8500, 16gb ram
