Hi everyone,
It is still very usable for me, but I would not mind getting something a bit faster.
As such, I was thinking about gifting this laptop to someone. However, I would not want to give them "rubbish", as it might be more of an insult. Hence, my following question:
A RAM upgrade is, of course, not too difficult, and if that would be the only issue, it would be something I would be happy to do.
A CPU update is, of course, not feasable.
Cheers all.
What I have:
I have a thinkpad yoga 370, 8GB Ram, i5 7300U CPU, 512GB SSD.Background Information:
I generally only use Linux, and even then, I use very minimalist versions. For me, the laptop is still very decent in 2023, but at times, when screen sharing with Skype and visiting very heavy java websites etc. at the same time, the CPU does spike to 100%.It is still very usable for me, but I would not mind getting something a bit faster.

Actual Question:
How usable is an i5 7300U with Windows in 2023?Specification of the Question:
The person in question is not looking to game on the laptop or anything like that. It would be used for browsing and mild office work, however, mostly through the browser.A RAM upgrade is, of course, not too difficult, and if that would be the only issue, it would be something I would be happy to do.
