Is 75 degrees Celsius an ok temperature for an Intel I3 4370?

The room temperature is 20 Celsius.

It was coming up to that temperature while I was watching it in the BIOS. A minute before, though, I was playing Bad Company 2.

When at the desktop it is 41 degrees Celsius. If it makes a difference, I'm running Google chrome, the CPU monitor, and windows explorer. Is the program inaccurate or was the BIOS reading wrong?

Just tried a different program and this one says the processor is running in between 49 degrees Celsius and 54 degrees Celsius.

Is the program inaccurate or was the BIOS reading wrong?

Temperatures in the BIOS are higher than idle in the OS because the BIOS has no power management - it runs the CPU at full power on one core.

That said, if you mean you are seeing 75C in the BIOS, either the heatsink is not attached properly or there is no/inadequate thermal paste.

I'd pull the cooler and replace the thermal compound, you have too little or too much, or the cooler isn't working right.
