Hello there, people of awesomeness, I love this site, its been soo helpful. But here's my story:

I want to upgrade my PC with new components and I am simply wondering if 750W is good enough considering I DONT WANT TO OVER CLOCK.

HERE ARE THE COMPONENTS THAT I WANT TO UPGRADE WITH:

PSU: http://www.ebuyer.com/429987-corsair-cxm-750w-semi-modular-80-bronze-power-supply-cp-9020061-uk

CPU: http://www.ebuyer.com/645546-intel-core-i7-4790k-4ghz-socket-1150-8mb-l3-cache-retail-boxed-bx80646i74790k?utm_source=google&utm_medium=products&gclid=Cj0KEQjw3cKeBRDG-KKqqIj4qJgBEiQAOamX_YGy1jQCfVl269S6nOJ8epuaIAA-ILAJwGUUsYaG3RYaAuUO8P8HAQ

GPU: http://www.ebuyer.com/642890-zotac-gtx-780-ti-oc-3gb-gddr5-dual-dvi-hdmi-displayport-pci-e-zt-70506-10p?utm_source=google&utm_medium=products&gclid=CjkKEQjw5-OdBRDW3ceD9fL0r4QBEiQAW7htXSo4yb2Puy0DRyZeuyWWXYwrgE27FAv7Ksf8xzlM6q7w_wcB

I will be using the above system components for gaming and all sorts of hefty tasks so it might reach load fairly often. Anyways, no overclocking and extra coolers except for the CPU because in anotber forum I started I found out i7 coolers are crap lol so yep.

Feel free to ask for extra info, and ENSURE YOU READ ALL OF THE ABOVE BEFORE COMMENTING BELOW PLS

If you're not overclocking then getting an i7 4790k with a Z97 is wasted then. Get an i7 4790 and a H97 motherboard.
750W is overkill for the build if using only one GTX 780Ti. A 550/650W will be fine. Choose Seasonic, XFX, EVGA G2 series or Corsair AX or HX series. Don't bother with Corsair CX and CS series, their quality is mediocre.

This is why there is A PC MASTER RACE! Lol

Thank you man, i cant believe how quickly someone got back to me on this i mean holy crap, but thanks for saving me £9 lol its not much but a nice saving thanks again dude!!!

i would like to say i have 4hz lol and well i might but i have bad mobo which cant support so yh lol

its a fine psu you could get the g2 850w thats around 76$ right now. all new modern psu come with neccesary cables and if you get to the 1000w or even 850w/750w they'll come with excess ones that can handle multiple gpus.

Yes but are all PSUs compatible with all modern motherboards?

Yes they are, else it's would be a problem if no standard is set.

Thanks haha finally the answer i want LOL haha

There are still server motherboards made by hp and DELL and a few others that use Proprietary Power Supplies , which are specific to just that board and supply.

With a custom build , you don't come across these types of boards and supplies , because they are used in the business sector in prebuilt server setups.

the simple answer yes the power supplies we have recommended you are all compatible and will work fully. so lets go over what we said

no 4790k since your not overclocking

no z97 unless you plan to overclock so get a h97

get a evga psu or seasonic, antec, xfx, etc psu.

it can be a good 550w/650w but the price difference isnt to much between a 550w/650w vs a 750w so the extra power can be used for sli.

Your psu is comaptible

Done.

Thanks haha :) this is the PSU I have settled on and apologies if I have been difficult,

I like the pattern that has developed above haha :)

no the 750W

but the thing is that its quad rail but ebuyer says its switchable so how would i get one rail out of 4 and see for yourself :)
