I got very cheap deal for these parts (less than 100 for motherboard and cpu and 3x4gb ram set)

Motherboard: Asus P6X58D-E (X58)
CPU: X5675
Ram: 3x 4gb 2400mhz / 2133mhz xmp ram set
1x pci sound card, h150i cooling 3 fan setup with pump aio, 1x 24 inch 144hz monitor, 3 case fans.

For GPU im going to use msi 980 ti which i will be using overvolted and 1450mhz on the core (tested on another system)

This should be great motherboard for overclocking and im aiming for 4.4ghz if i can get there with less than 1.45v vcore.
I used outerwision psu calculator and it suggested 1000 watts for the PSU and 900w draw atleast, this cant be right.
My question is am i fine with EVGA G2 supernova 750w which should be one of the best quality power supplies out there? I want there also to be room for overclocking even more, going max 1.5v on the vcore and maybe increasing voltage for gpu to reach 1500mhz.

thanks

Yes, I think that EVGA PSU model might be sufficient for your rig, but try to buy the G3 variant. Though, if you want some extra headroom for OC and future upgrades, then grab a slightly higher Wattage unit. You can also buy the following power supply units.

Some examples, Sesonic PRIME/Focus Plus, Corsair AXi, RMx, EVGA Supernova G3, Antec High Current Platinum/HCG gold, and Be Quiet -Straight Power 11, Dark Power Pro P10, and FSP - Aurum PT, Hydro PTM models.

Yeah i will go for Evga supernova was just thinking about the wattage, thank you. I guess i´ll go with 850w unit. Thing is i found great reviews about G2 unit (750w and 850w both) from jonnyguru etc. What is the benefit for going G3 instead of G2?

(EDIT: also is there any difference in quality G3 750w or 850w or 1000w)

The G3 model is a newer variant of power supplies from EVGA. This is basically a refresh of the older G2 SKUs. G2 was based on an older platform. G3 is the new model, a bit more efficient. Apart from this, the G3 Models are smaller in size.

G3 unit is 30mm shorter in length, and it has newer tech (rough estimate). The efficiency is almost the same on both units though.

G2:
Size: 85mm (H) x 150mm (W) x 180mm (L)
efficiency: 90% (115VAC) / 92% (220VAC~240VAC) or Higher Typical
Fan size / bearing: 140mm Double Ball Bearing
Japanese Capacitors 100%

efficiency: 90% (115VAC) / 92% (220VAC~240VAC) or Higher Typical
Fan size / bearing: 130mm Hydraulic Dynamic Bearing

The G2 is actually the better PSU, one of the very best you can by today, the G3 has some issues.
