I'm buying a new psu for my rig, I was going with the gq 650 but since it disappeard in the stores these days I opted to go with the 750 variant. Is it too much, considering the pc in idle will consume no more than 2-300w and efficiency may start to go down at those loads %?
My rig is:
r5 1600
rtx 2060
16gb ddr4
a bunch of fans and 3 hdds

I prefer to go with 650w minimum even if 550w would be enough in case I decide to upgrade in the future

750w is overkill. Here in this review using a more power hungry cpu the total system consumption didn’t go over 300w. You could run your system on a good quality 450w. However there is not really a problem running a 750w apart from it might be slightly less efficient.
