Is 7700k compatible with gigabyte z170x g7?

I know there has to be an bios update for these to work together but I would need another cpu to update it. So I wanted to know if the mobo has know got the update already installed since the update has been out for a while or I need to upgrade with a different processor first.

Have only seen a few that had the updated BIOS.

It depends on when the board was made if it was made after the BIOS version needed then yes if it's been sitting in a warehouse or on a shelf and made before then it will need updated.
