Is 79c hot for a 960?

I have a standard Zotac 4gb 960 https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/gtx-960-4gb thats about 8 months old, and after installing it in my new setup (about the only thing I carried over from a computer where either the mobo or cpu died and I decided to replace everything except this for the moment to save money as it wold be the easiest thing to upgrade in the future), I've noticed that when playing games it tends to hit about 79c. I could swear in my previous build it never went above 75, for it to now be going consistently higher somewhat bothers me and felt I should check if its starting to get into the 'too hot' range.

For airflow the case I got is the standard HAF 912 case which has a a single 120mm intake on front and another for exhaust on back, and prior to making this topic I took a 120mm from my previous case and added it as a side panel intake to blow cooler air onto the card as well but it does not seem to have improved it any. I'm using MSI Afterburner (as when I first put it in it ran even hotter without this) with the profile currently set so fans hit 70% at 65c and 80% at 80c, I would rather try to avoid telling them to go all the way to 100% to extend their lifespan if possible.

So yeah just curious if 79c is too hot for a pretty stock 960 or if its fine. I know nvidia says the card can operate up to 98c but we all know that's completely ridiculous.

are you using a stock fan that comes with the case? cause sometimes they do nothing... i lowered my temps by 5°C just adding rear exhaust with cooler master fan with 70 CFM (air flow)

Idle temp is around the mid 30s. I believe all fans are stock case ones, the one I threw on the side panel is from a previous case but still runs like a beast (as much as stock case fans do).

I forgot to mention there is also a 212 evo fan in there for the cpu tho I'm not sure this would affect gpu at all
