Question Is 80GB DDR4 RAM possible?

Hey,

It's been a few generations of RAM since I did much, so trying to figure out what I can do with the new PC I just got for Father's Day.

It came with 16GB of DDR4 (3200Mhz).
Due to my work (teaching online, with many videos always pulled up to share) I needed more RAM, which just arrived today. (64GB DDR4 3200Mhz)

I tried popping it all in, and it wouldn't boot, so I went with just the 64, and it's running great.

Of course, having more RAM sounds fun, so I ask:

Is it possible to run the 64GB (2x32GB) alongside the 16GB (2x8) to Total 80GB?

(Pics/Specs attached)
Same Freq @ 3200Mhz
Same Voltage @ 1.35V

Thanks!

Its possible but as you found not exactly easy, or straight forward.
RAM is only guaranteed to work in the kits its sold in, even buying identical sticks on the same day from the same place may not work.
Additionally, running 4 sticks will put extra load on the memory controller, potentially degrading performance (though not enough to actually notice).
Unless you have specific need for over 64 gigs, adding in the two sticks to bring you up to 80 wont actually do anything performance wise, as the additional memory wont be used.

Thanks for the help!

If I were to try for all 80GB, what would I need to do? (Just for fun, lol)

For reference, my system specs are:

AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
Windows 11 Home
Assembled by CyberPowerPC
