So i just overclocked my Ryzen 5 1600 to 3.8GHz on 1,25V with stock cooler. i overclocked with ryzen master.
Ive been running Prime95 for about 25 minutes now and its been at 82-83C for like 20 minutes.
My specs:
Corsair vengeance lpx 3000.
Asus tuf x470-plus gaming
Ryzen 5 1600 wraith spire.
Asus rog strix gtx 1080
Coolermaster masterbox lite 5 rgb
500gb ssd, 1,5tb hdd.

Yup, that's fine for any chip.

Benchmark programs are "worse case" programs. You'll never see those temps or power draw for your daily use things. That's why when benching I allow higher numbers. 65C is fine for a CPU while gaming.
what about your idle and gaming temp? prime 95 is more of a power virus IMO.
but any how, 82-83C is high but still acceptable temperature for CPU.

i'd be more concerned if you gaming temperature is in the 80s. which means the heat sink is probably not installed properly.

I'm not concerned with 80C+ while benching. At least for Intel CPUs. I'm not sure where the upper limit is for Ryzen CPUs. As long as you don't see those temps while gaming you are fine. For me personally, I don't allow gaming temps to cross 60C. But I have an Intel CPU.
