Is 850 W power supply enough for what i am about to do.

Ok so i have the following||| I7920+Corsair H50 Water Cooler Video:5870 ATI 1GB 1HDD WD Caviar Black 3fansx200MM in a HAF922 case with x58 Asrock supercomputer MB now i want to buy another 5870 to crossfire them would a 850 W Powersupply be enough to cover that i have the Corsair 850 PSU non modulier

So yes, you can go with it safely.
850W is more than enough for you

For a single card setup that you have 550W is enough!
850W is overkill. You can be safe with lots of headroom to OC if you get a 750W as well.

Overkill is always good because last year i burned my PSU playing crysis ..... should have though of putting another one in there before but oh well no harm done

One other question hypotheticly speaking a 5970 from ati is technically a 5870just 2 times with lower clock speeds and ram speed to match the consuption border they set on the graphic cards so if i have a 5870 and i buy a 5970 without touching them i would have 3 times 5850 because the 5970 is clocked to the 5850x2 speed so it doesnt'go above 350 or whatever it wa but if i reset it to it's "good settings then i would get 3 times 5870 teoreticly speaking
