Is 8gb of ram enough for gaming?

Is it enough to play most modern games say like battlefield on medium 1080p?

I never build with less than 16gb , and with some titles starting to require more it's best to go 16gb.

IMO, 8GB is the bare minimum. I usually go with at least 16GB.

If you're looking to play DX12 games, 8GB is probably going to be the minimum....

8GB will be fine. I personally run 8GB in my own system without issue.

However, building anything today with less than 16GB is not the best choice. With how cheap 16GB is, it's almost a no brainer to go with 16GB over 8GB. I only have 8GB because I built my system way back in December 2014.
