Is 8gb ram good for next gen

Solution
For the next gen of gaming, I'd go 16GB, prebuilt computers are skimpy with DRAM and they now average 6-8GB, if looking ahead for any longevity beyond maybe 6-9 months the 16 is the way to go. DRAM use increases in gaaming and apps every 2-3 years and back 2010 or so most were saying 4GB is more than you'll ever use, then it went to 8GB and that's been the standard entry level for a couple years now

8GB is just fine . but you never know what Next Gen Games might require . i mean . 2GB Vram for VGA cards was enough until watchdogs came out and asked for 3GB Vram in order to run Ultra high Textures .

Go with 2x8GB ( 16GB ) and you wont touch your rams for very very long time :) . because games will hardly gonna need 16GB but in other hand your future proof and ready for everygame . not just NExt Gen games but also youll be ready for Next Gen hardwares too .

by the way . wait a little longer for DDR4 + Intel SkyLake or BroadWell to come out . they might have noticeable improvements over DDR 3 memories :)
