Is 8ms for a tv/monitor for gaming to slow?

I'm thinking about getting an hdtv on sale for 179.99 at best buy for black friday. It's 40 inches, 1080p with a 60hz refresh time, but the response time is 8ms, is that slow?

its slow but not too bad
rest the specs are fine
8ms is not noticeable that much so no problem

Nope, Refresh rate is 60Hz, which's 60 refreshes every second, or 1000 milliseconds. Which's one refresh every 16.67ms, so 8ms response time is fast enough for upto 125Hz. You can't tell the difference b/w 1ms and 5ms in most displays with same refresh rates.
