Is 9800 GTX a powerful Card than the GT series? and under the budget of 9000? Is it capable of playing all the latest games? does it supports DirectX 11? I Want to play games like FIFA 14,GTA IV,AC3,DiRT Showdown,Hitman Absolution! My GT 630 is not that bad but at least 9800 gtx is better than GT 630 so I was thinking to replace it with GT 630.. and is it risky to buy a Used card which has already been used for 2 years? because 9800 GTX aren't available nowadays since they are very old cards! Please Answer my All questions as soon as possible! Thank You! :)

well... i actually own a 7770. I also have a 1080p monitor. I've used this gpu with both a quad core PhenomII cpu and a 8 core fx cpu.

It will game pretty much anything in 1080p resolution. It doesn't usually have any issue getting to 60fps even on the highest settings. That said... obviously some games are harder on a machine then others. I'll list for you what i've played and the fps i got and the settings i used.

Skyrim - 60fps~ no...
I bought 9600 GT like three years ago and It was released almost six years ago and When I bought it was brand new but it was released 3 years ago yet it worked for two years and then got dead because of my own mistake! the thing is that the new GT series like GT 630,640 these cards are crap and they are not made for heaving games.. yes.. you can run games but the graphics won't be that good compared to the old GT series like 8800 gt & 9800 gt,gtx.. now my budget was under 9000 so I bought the GT 630.. and now I regret buying it because my previous 9600 gt was way better.. still I can play AC3,GTA IV,and all those games mentioned above easily but I can't say that the graphics are phenomenal!

no, it does not support dx11.

it is not a strong card... it's roughly equal to a 250 gtx, and was retired from the nvidia lineup 4 or 5 years ago. The 630 is a pretty poor card, but i wouldn't call moving to the 9800gtx much of a move up.

to play the games you want if you are not gaming at 1080p, find yourself a hd 7770. generally these cards can be had for peanuts no matter where you are. And they're fully compatible with dx11.2, and will game at less then 1080p very well (heck, they can game in 1080p pretty well too)

Ingtar33: Most people have suggested me to buy 7770.. I will look forward to it and can you a bit elaborate about this graphic card if you've used it personally? I would like to know about it before I save some money and then exchange MY GT 630 with the 7770.. Nvidia are mostly expensive!

Skyrim - 60fps~ no mods~ high settings, 1080p
Civ5 - 20fps~ highest settings (it was pretty smooth, turning the graphics to medium got me 60fps, but i didn't see the point as that game looked the same wether it was 20fps or 60)
Mass Effect 1, 2 & 3 - highest settings, 60fps no problem
Dragon Age 1 & 2 - highest settings, 60fps no problems.
The Walking Dead - highest settings, 60fps
Xcom - highest settings 60fps
Tomb Raider - medium settings 60fps (it was playable on high settings and 40fps, but sometimes it stuttered a little, so i liked to keep it on medium)
Star Wars The Old Republic - highest settings 60fps
Tera - highest settings 60fps (that's more because of a cpu overclock then the gpu... it struggled to get me 30fps before i clocked my PhII up to 4.0ghz)

I'm sure i've played other stuff but i'm not remembering it now. It's a solid gaming gpu. Sure there are better, but you can certainly game at 1080p with it.
